Everyone who enters the Piazza del Campo is fascinated by the bright red of the bricks that lead to the Town Hall and soar into the sky with the Torre del Mangia tower. The square, as we know it today, was repaved during the Governo del Nove: and there are nine segments of the \u201cshell\u201d that gives the square its special shape. Within the city walls, the Piazza del Campo is the only place that does not belong to the territory of any of the seventeen Palio districts into which the city is divided.<\/p>\n\n<p>After visiting the most famous attractions, such as the Civic museum, the Duomo, the Pinacoteca and the Santa Maria della Scala Museum, we suggest you get lost in the alleys of this magical city. Between one monument and another, pay attention to the details that mark the transition from one district to another as one type of flag changes to another you are entering a different Palio horse race neighborhood.<\/p>\n\n<p>And for those who want to have a truly unforgettable experience, we highly suggest planning your trip to Tuscany during the Palio of Siena to witness the famous horse race for yourself.
